Services

Everything between the bank feed and the tax return

We do the recurring work that keeps a company's numbers current, and the project work that gets a messy set of books back on track. If it touches the general ledger, it's in scope.

Full-service bookkeeping

Transaction recording and classification across bank, credit card, AP, AR and journal entries. All accounts reconciled every month, with a close package you can hand to anyone.

Monthly retainer

Month-end close & reporting

P&L, balance sheet and cash flow with month-over-month variance notes, budget vs. actuals, and a plain-language commentary on what moved and why.

By the 15th business day

AP & AR management

Vendor bill coding with your approvals, weekly payment runs, customer invoicing and receipt application. Proactive collections available as an add-on.

Weekly cadence

Payroll & sales tax coordination

Payroll journal entries and quarterly coordination with your payroll provider; sales and use tax return preparation and e-payment where applicable.

Multi-state experience

Year-end & CPA hand-off

Year-end close, accountant workpapers, 1099/1096 preparation and e-filing, fixed asset roll-forwards, and W-9 clean-up so tax season is a hand-off, not a scramble.

Annual

Clean-up & QuickBooks migrations

Historical clean-up of unreconciled accounts, undeposited funds and stale AR/AP; Desktop-to-Online transitions; chart of accounts redesign. Scoped as a fixed-fee project.

Fixed-fee project

Nonprofit accounting

Fund and program tracking, grant reporting, board-ready financials, and audit preparation for 501(c)(3) organizations.

Board & audit ready

Cash flow & advisory

13-week cash flow forecasts, working capital reviews, and a quarterly executive review of performance, trends, and where to tighten up.

Quarterly

Odoo & accounting systems

Odoo implementation and administration across Accounting, Sales, Inventory, Manufacturing and Project, including custom reports and integrations. Tax-engine setup for Avalara and similar platforms.

Implementation

How we work

A fixed cadence, so nothing piles up

Every engagement runs on the same rhythm. You always know what's been done, what needs your approval, and when the close lands.

Weekly Keep current

  • Import and review bank and card feeds; post routine transactions
  • Triage the AP inbox; code new vendor bills for approval
  • Issue invoices and credits; apply customer payments
  • One-page cash position and upcoming payables summary
  • Optional 30-minute check-in on blockers and approvals

Monthly Close

  • Reconcile every bank, credit card, loan and merchant account
  • Post accruals, deferrals, depreciation and amortization
  • Review AP and AR agings; flag write-offs and credit memos
  • P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and variance notes
  • Close package delivered by the 15th business day

Quarterly Review

  • Executive review: performance, trends, opportunities
  • Balance sheet deep-dive: prepaids, accruals, inventory
  • 13-week cash flow refresh and working capital review
  • Payroll quarterlies and jurisdictional compliance coordination

Annual Hand-off

  • Year-end close and workpapers for your tax CPA
  • 1099/1096 preparation and e-filing
  • Fixed asset roll-forward and depreciation true-up
  • W-9 refresh and vendor master clean-up
  • Support for the annual budget build

Your part is small and predictable. Connected bank feeds, read-only access to your systems, digital bill and receipt routing, and timely approvals. We handle the rest.

Outgrowing QuickBooks?

We implement Odoo, then keep the books in it

Most bookkeeping firms stop at QuickBooks. We also design and configure Odoo for companies that need inventory, manufacturing, projects and accounting in one system, with custom quote, invoice and PO templates, automated workflows, and clean reporting. And because we run the books afterward, the setup is built for the close, not just for go-live.

We'll send a PDF with every ratio explained, benchmark ranges for your industry, and the three things we'd fix first. One of us will follow up personally; no drip campaign.

This tool gives general ratio benchmarks for small businesses and is not accounting, tax or legal advice. Healthy ranges vary by industry; a 20% gross margin is strong for a distributor and weak for a consultancy. Use it as a starting point for a conversation.

About

A small firm with a controller's standards

Bragg Bookkeeping was built on one idea: a growing company deserves the same disciplined close a large one gets, without hiring a finance department to get it.

We started as a bookkeeping practice serving Atlanta businesses and nonprofits, and grew by doing the unglamorous work well: reconciling every account every month, closing on a schedule, and answering the phone when a client's CPA has a question.

Today we're a small team of bookkeepers and accounting-systems specialists. Each client has a lead who knows their books and a second set of eyes on every close. We work remotely by default and on-site when it helps.

What makes us different is the systems side. Between us we've implemented and administered QuickBooks, Odoo, NetSuite, Avalara and Vertex at companies from local studios to Fortune 500s. We don't just keep the books in your system; we can build the system.
